"The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru includes just fruit from the premier cru of Cherbaudes augmented by younger vines from other premier crus, though Mark Fincham hopes to make a single bottling of the Cherbaudes in the future. It has a lively, clean and pure red cherry and orange blossom bouquet, delicate and feminine. The palate is bright and lively on the entry, just a gentle grip, and curiously it feels like there's a bit of whole bunch on the finish when in fact, there is not a stem in here. Very fine."
