Property of a Bay Area lady. All wines purchased on release, many winery-direct, and stored in temperature and humidity controlled storage.
"The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is rich, racy and explosive to the core. An exotic tapestry of plums, sweet black cherries, smoke, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and dark spices race across the palate. Ample and intense, the 2012 has more than enough depth to fill its broad-shouldered frame. The 2012 is the most open-knit vintage made here so far. I imagine it will provide several decades of fine drinking. In keeping with the style of the vintage, the 2012 is quite generous and resonant, with a demi-glace like sense of silkiness and unctuosity. This is the first vintage that incorporates the younger 20 year-old vines. Next to some of the other vintages made so far, the 2012 is a bit monochromatic, but it is striking for its sheer opulence.
