“This also displays a dazzlingly fresh nose of superbly spicy and wonderfully floral-suffused aromas of mostly red berries, jasmine tea, allspice and the hallmark rose petal scents, all of which is trimmed in sandalwood. The almost painfully intense and strikingly delineated medium weight plus flavors display ample muscle and power along with a firm bead of minerality on the moderately austere, impeccably well-balanced and stunningly long finish. La Tâche is one of Burgundy’s most iconic wines and while the 2021 version isn’t going to rival its greatest vintages, this is more than respectable and particularly so for the vintage.” (96 pts.
